Terms:

  1. Provider: Acro Logic
Conditions:
  1. Where information returned in search results is simply a list of URLs, or Web pages, the information on those Web pages (or URLs) is the property of a third party. Therefore, the provider does not accept any responsibility for the content on those pages (or URLs), nor guarantee any fitness for purpose.
  2. Similarly, summaries of such searches (or research reports) are based on the content of such resources and so the provider takes no responsibility for those.
  3. It is your responsibility to make a judgement as to the accuracy, fitness for purpose or otherwise of any Internet resources.
  4. The fact that the provider identifies particular resources does not in any way mean it guarantees fitness for your purposes.
  5. The Internet search and research services do not guarantee to find all relevant information related to your enquiry that may reside on the Internet.
  6. Similarly, the Internet does not contain the total of all of human knowledge. Therefore, some search requests may return few or even no results.
  7. Searches are charged based on the time spent searching. This means that the perceived value for money may vary from search to search. For example, there may be lots of easy to find information available on topic X, but very little and/or hard to find information on topic Y.
  8. It is your responsibility to specify as accurately as possible the precise information you are looking for, and the sort of information that you want excluded from search results. If you specify an ambiguous request, how can you expect to get precisely what you want?
  9. If the search (or research) returns at least one item that matches your request (as stated) then that is regarded as satisfying our contractual agreement, and you should pay the agreed financial sum on time.
  10. The provider will make every reasonable effort to provide a high quality service. However, it will not be held responsible for events, or the consequences of events, outside its own control.
  11. The provider is not responsible for: the reliability of the system (hardware, communications equipment, services and software) provided; any resulting injury or damage to persons, property, or premises as a consequence of a system failure; any loss of business as a consequence of system failure; any form of inconvenience as a result of system failure. System failure refers to hardware and communication failures, software malfunctions, intermittent faults, and the system failing to achieve particular performance or functional criteria. (This definition of failure also includes system or service failure as a consequence of the Year 2000 bug.)
  12. If incorrect or inaccurate information is provided to the provider by its client, or anyone representing the client, the provider will not be held responsible if the system does not meet the clients needs, or results in any event described in these terms and conditions.
  13. If the client, or anyone other than the provider, modifies any of the provider's documentation (including specifications, designs, artwork, etc.) in part or whole, or reconfigures a system without the explicit approval of the provider, then the provider will not be held responsible for supplying inappropriate advice, services or documentation, or the failure of a system to meet the client's requirements, nor will it be held responsible for any resulting injury, damage or loss of business.
  14. Payment for services provided should be received by the provider within 30 days of the date of the invoice. If payment is delayed beyond this date then the provider reserves the right to charge interest on the amount of any outstanding payment at a rate 10 percent above the National Westminster Bank's minimum lending rate. The provider also reserves the right to retrieve any documentation, service, information, specification, (etc.) provided to the client and to take whatever additional steps may be necessary in accordance with national and/or international law.
  15. Unless explicitly specified all documentation and designs created and provided by the provider to the client are owned by the provider and protected by copyright law. If the client wishes to copy any of the material for use by another organisation, or for publication in any form (including electronic form and for use on the Internet) they must have written permission from the provider. You may not pass any documentation produced in this contract on to any other organisation without first seeking written approval from the provider. The provider copyright notices in documentation provided must not be removed or modified.
  16. If this contract contradicts any terms or conditions in a contract provided by the client, or representative of the client, then irrespective of the relative dates of the contracts these terms and conditions override those of the client, or representative.
  17. The provider is not responsible for any errors or consequences caused by third parties and/or the client. It will not be held responsible for the capabilities and performance of third party systems and services. It will not be held responsible for the consequences of incorrect or derogatory information that has been provided by the client, representatives of the client, or users of its services.
  18. No penalty, or negative judgement (direct or indirect), shall be applied to the provider if it has to cancel an event due to unforeseen circumstances, or circumstances outside its own control.
  19. It is not viable for the provider to check if the ideas, generated by its ideas service, already exist elsewhere in the world. Therefore there is no guarantee that its ideas are unique; but many probably are.
  20. If you do not understand, or have any doubts about, any of these terms and conditions please discuss them with the provider before entering into a contract agreement. Please note that the provider aims to provide a high quality service, and customer satisfaction.
